Let's Kick Start Your Morning Hydration and Digestion

Wake up and hydrate and start your day off right! I’m all for a coffee in the morning but make sure it’s not the first thing you reach for. Start with some good hydration, follow up with a solid breakfast to start your day and then have a cup of coffee. Try it for a week and see how your mornings improve!


Simply mix a tablespoon of chia seeds in 2 cups of mineral water for 10-20 minutes. The longer it soaks, the more water the chia seeds will absorb and the more gel-like they will become.

I typically add a quarter lemon to mine as it is anti-inflammatory and gives the water a refreshing flavour without the need for sugar.

Not sure how you have time? Make it the night before and reach for it as you wake.

Chia seeds are high in fibre and healthy fats that help promote healthy digestion and a clean colon. 

Drinking this lemon infused chia water 30 minutes before ONE of your meals can increase a feeling of fullness.

This is all about priming your body for the day to come, it will provide a feeling of fullness, aid in digestion and hydration. Mix it up by adding in some good salts to further improve absorbability, or a bit of local honey to tone down the bitterness of the lemon.
